India: As of 20 Feb 2012 - No wild polio case reported this week.
the last case reported was on 13-Jan-2011 (WPV type 1 from West Bengal)





JE News

In Nepal, as of 08 May 2006 a total of 176 suspect JE cases have been reported, of which 7 died (CFR 4%) in 2006.     In 2005, a total of 2824 suspect JE cases were reported, of which 316 died (CFR 11.2%).  Of these, 1769 cases and 233 deaths occurred in the western, mid-western and far-western regions of Nepal.
